Where There is Discord: The Mrs Thatcher Show

When she took power 30 years ago, Mrs Thatcher began by quoting St Francis of Assissi: 'Where there is discord, may we bring harmony'. She then ushered in a period in which society ('There's no such thing' she said) became ever more discordant. But it was a great time to be a political cartoonist.

John Minnion, who illustrated in the New Statesman and elsewhere throughout those years, has put together this entertaining and informative slideshow. He tries to be even-handed about the Lady... but the facts speak for themselves.

Black and White Nocturnes: Homage to Frederic Chopin

This is a combination of semi-animated artwork and recorded concert. Six of Chopin's Nocturnes are featured, after an introductory slideshow about Chopin's life and work.
