A medical officer of the 10th (Liverpool Scottish) Battalion, the King's (Liverpool) Regiment. Received two Victoria Crosses - one posthumous - during the World War I, only two other men have ever achieved this high honour.

Chavasse Statue A statue by Tom Murphy is to be sited in Abercromby Square if campaigners can raise an estimated £105,000. The Noel Chavasse VC Memorial Association has a full size model already made and waiting to be cast in bronze.
